Ma Qian

Ma Qian Ma Qian, a young soprano of Shanghai Opera House. National second class actress. In 2007, she graduated from the voice department of Shanghai Conservatory of Music, which she has studied under Prof. Xie Le. Participated in 2005 on behalf of Shanghai competition zone. Central Asia cup & quot; the first Yangtze river delta young singers competition and awards. Third prize of the 10th "golden bell award" Shanghai area bel canto group. Won the third place in the international opera competition of the third Asian international vocal music festival in Hong Kong in 2015. Won the Espoit prize with the highest score in the opera G category in the 16th international music competition in Osaka, Japan. She has been accepted and trained by Shanghai Zhou Xiaoyan Opera Center. Ma Qian has performed in a wide range of roles, including: Violetta in Verdi’s La traviata, Hanna/Valenciennes in Lehar’s Die listings witwe, Micaela/Frasquita in Bizet’s Carmen, Nella in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi of Il trittico, Tebaldo in Verdi’s Don Carlos, Dama in Verdi’s Macbeth, a shepherd boy in Puccini’s Tosca, Giannetta in Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore, Contessa Countess in Verdi’s Rigoletto, Fan Yi in Chinese original opera: Thunderstorm, Xiao Li/a waif in Chinese musical National Anthem. Ma Qian’s concert performances included: as the soprano soloist in the Chinese premiere concert of Shostakovich’s song cycle Jewish folk poetry with Shanghai Symphony Orchestra in 2006; as the soprano soloist in Rachmaninoff’s The Bell (Chinese premiere) with Shanghai Symphony Orchestra in 2011. She had worked with many important orchestras all over the country, such as: China Philharmonic Orchestra, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra and Shanghai Opera House Orchestra.
